The LOKAL WEAVE series celebrates the rich culture of the Philippines indigenous tribes by showcasing designs and motifs inspired by their local weaves.
The BINAKUL (or Binakol) Handcrafted Pocket Notebook is about the size of a passport (3.50 x 5.00 inches) with a digital print of the uniform and geometric psychedelic optical art pattern of the indigenous people in the Ilocos region that is believed to give protection against malevolent spirits.
COVER
Binakul weaving pattern digitally printed using long-lasting pigment inks on kraft board with white inner lining and treated with a matte water-repellent film.
BINDING
Hand-stitched page leaves using a durable 0.35mm polyester thread.
